Beverley “Aunty Bev” Ann Leiko Arai, 79, of Holualoa died July 29, 2013. at her caregiver’s residence. Born July 17, 1934, in Pahala, she retired as a teacher at Konawaena Elementary School. She was also a member of Daifukuji Soto Mission, Daifukuji Fujin Kai, Teacher’s Bowling League and the Halulu Fishing Gang.
Friends may call at 4 p.m. Aug. 10 at Daifukuji Soto Mission in Honalo for a 5 p.m. memorial service. The family requests casual attire be worn and no flowers.
She is survived by son, Carlton Arai of Holualoa; daughter, Mona (Mike Bean) Arai of Holualoa; granddaughter, Lei Arai of Holualoa.
